Course Outline

This nationally accredited suite of scaffold courses provide students, of all experience levels, the means to gain scaffolding knowledge and practical skills to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding to an advanced level.

  • Duration
    Courses are conducted separately and require students to complete self paced tasks and participate in multiple face to face sessions.
    BASIC LEVEL: CPCCLSF2001 Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding, basic level
    (3 Days + ULT) Participants will learn the skills required to erect, alter and dismantle modular or prefabricated scaffolding to any height, including installing and dismantling materials hoists, use of gin wheels, safety nets, static lines and mobile scaffolds.
    INTERMEDIATE: CPCCLSF3001 Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding, intermediate level
    (4 days + ULT) Participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at an industry approved intermediate level, including cantilevered structures.
    ADVANCED: CPCCLSF2001 Licence to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding, advanced level
    (4 Days + ULT) Participants will progress to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding at an advanced level, including swing stage and hung scaffold components.

  • Entry Criteria
    There are no pre-requisites for this unit however all participants must meet the following:
    1. • Be at least 18 years of age;>
    2. • Have a good understanding of written and spoken English; and
    3. • Able to complete basic mathematical calculations.
    As this suite is delivered in sequence, students must satisfy each unit and meet the pre-requisite requirements, of SI and SA, before progressing to the next level.

    To participate in this course students must:
    1. • Wear appropriate (protective) safety clothing and safety boots or steel capped footwear; and
    2. • Bring original form of identification, with at least one being photographic.
    ATTA provide all necessary PPE including hi-vis vest, helmets and gloves (or use your own). Students who own scaffold tools may use them, however all tools needed are supplied.

    Plenty of on site and street parking is available. The Narwee Station is the closest rail link with a connecting Uber (approx. $7) or bus service to Boundary Road, Peakhurst (Stop ID: 2210176) out the front.

    Access to ammenities and light refreshments are available during scheduled face-to-face Sessions, along with fridge and food heating appliances, as necessary.
  • Course Delivery

    Mode: A combination of delivery modes, including online, face-to-face and observation are used to ensure this licensed unit, meets the expectations of the VET Quality Framework (VQF), standards of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package and The National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work (2015).

    Method: The delivery of this suite of units, enables you to learn using a variety of mediums, learning tools and methods that include self paced tasks, group activities and practice of skills on full scale equipment in a simulated workplace. Students train and practice skills learnt, before being assessed against National Mandated Assessment instruments.

    Process: This suite of courses are delievered over multiple Sessions to collect evidence of competency, over a minimum of eight (8) full days (face-to-face), plus self paced learning tasks.

  • Outcome & Possible Pathways
    Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for each unit compelted and a High Risk Work Notice of Assessment, needed to gain all three High Risk Work Licences, class SB, SI and SA.
    Students may progress to trade qualifications or other high risk work licenses, that compliment the roles associated with advanced scaffolding.
