Construction Induction

Course Outline

This nationally accredited course is a compulsory requirement for anyone working or preparing to work in the construction industry. Students who successfully complete this course are registered for a Construction Induction card, or 'white card' as it is commonly referred, that is recognised Nationally.

  • Course Title : CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
  • Course Fee : $150 per person

  • Duration
    Training and assessment conducted over a minimum of one (1) day:
    Session 1: Face-to-face Training
    Students complete course induction before participating in trainer led presentation, group learning acitvity and oral questioning.
    Session 2: Face-to-face Assessment
    Students complete assessment tasks in test conditions and performed to meet industry safety standards.

  • Entry Criteria
    There are no pre-requisites for this unit.
  • Schedule of Fee's
    1. Full course fee payment must be made to confirm enrolment. 
    2. An ATTA Tax Invoice will confirm services offered and receipt of fee's processed;
    3. If you change your mind, a 48 hour 'cooling off period' is offered;
    4. Enrolment changes may be made after the cooling off period, however: – Rescheduling less than 48 hours before course start will incur a $100 Reschedule fee;
    – Withdrawal more than 48 hours before course start, may be eligible for a refund minus the $50 Admin Fee; 
    – An enrolled student (or client) may be ineligible for a refund of fee's paid:
    • Should they elect to withdraw less than 48 hours before course is due to start;
    • If they do not attend (no show) or arrive late to a confirmed schedule;
    • If they elect to withdraw after course commences; or
    • If in breach of the ATTA Code of Conduct.
    5. Students who are deemed Not Yet Competent, can elect to be reassessed.
    – Additional training is free (students advised if optional or recommended)
    – CI Reassessment fee = $50 per session.

  • What to Bring
    To participate in this course students must bring original form of identification, with at least one being photographic. ATTA provide all necessary PPE to perform practical course elements.
  • Facility Details
    Factory 1 and 2, 89 Riverside Avenue, Werribee VIC,  Australia 3030
    Plenty of on site and street parking is available. The Werribee Station is the closest rail link with a connecting Uber (approx. $6) or bus service to Collins Street, Werribee (Stop 443) and a 900m walk.
    Access to amenities and light refreshments are available during scheduled face-to-face Sessions, along with fridge and food heating appliances, as necessary.
  • Course Delivery

    Mode: A combination of delivery modes, including online, face-to-face and observation are used to ensure this licensed unit, meets the expectations of the VET Quality Framework (VQF), and standards of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package.

    Method: The delivery of this unit enables you to learn using a variety of mediums, learning tools and methods that include self paced tasks, group activities and practice of skills on full scale equipment in a simulated workplace.

    Process: This course is delivered over two (2) Sessions to collect evidence of competency, over a minimum of one day (face-to-face).

  • Outcome & Possible Pathways
    Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for this Nationally Recognised Training unit of competency.
    Students may progress to other work place safety courses, high risk work licenses or trade qualifications, that compliment roles associated with the construction industry.
